DCSPay, a stablecoin payments platform by DCS Group that enables businesses to integrate stablecoin payments and fiat settlement through a seamless, compliant infrastructure, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kotani Pay, Africa's leading stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure provider. The partnership will expand domestic payout and settlement capabilities across African markets, connecting DCSPay’s stablecoin payment capabilities with Kotani Pay’s local payment rails.
Through the integration with Kotani Pay’s API, regulated exchanges using DCSPay will be able to extend stablecoin-funded payouts into African markets through Kotani Pay’s established local connectivity, without the need to build and manage local payment rails market by market.
DCSPay will provide the stablecoin payment layer, including the wallet and checkout front end, user and merchant onboarding, compliance oversight and the initiation of stablecoin transfers for payout and settlement. Kotani Pay will handle the local leg, converting USDT and USDC into local fiat and facilitating domestic P2P payouts through mobile money, USSD and other local payment channels.
The partnership will launch in Nigeria before expanding to Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, South Africa and Tanzania.
Together, the two platforms strengthen payment connectivity between Asia and Africa, providing a more direct link between global stablecoin flows and the local payment methods used by recipients across African markets.
“Expanding into new markets shouldn’t require businesses to rebuild their payment infrastructure country by country. By connecting DCSPay with Kotani Pay’s established local rails, we’re making it easier for businesses to extend stablecoin-funded payouts into African markets through a single integration. It’s part of how we’re building DCSPay: giving businesses the infrastructure and connectivity they need to scale stablecoin payments into more markets," said Sean Dong, Senior Director of Business Operations, DCSPay.
"Our partnership with DCSPay demonstrates how stablecoins, combined with robust local payment rails, can remove friction from cross-border commerce. Whether you're paying a supplier in Lagos from Singapore or settling merchant payments across Africa, businesses can now move value in real time, securely and efficiently. That is the infrastructure we are building, connecting global capital to local African economies," said Felix Macharia, CEO, Kotani Pay.
The partnership builds on Kotani Pay’s work connecting global stablecoin flows with local payment networks across Africa, while giving DCSPay greater connectivity into the region.
